The major components include:
Developing and implementing a new course starting Fall 2017 for students who have completed 3 years of college prep math, but are not deemed college ready.
Professional development for high school math teachers.
Consortium meetings to address the college readiness problem in Monterey County.
Other grant components:
A math night at each school site
A two-week morning summer academy (2018) for incoming 12 graders to experience the new course and for other teachers to learn how to teach it.
